The training session features agenda planning, attendance boosters, creative funding ideas, special events and more to educate, motivate and celebrate with your bariatric patients. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch provided. Day 2 - 15 CEU’s Available - Learn how to incorporate Support Groups of Excellence™ lesson plans into your support groups and how they can help your bariatric patients reach and maintain their ultimate weight-loss goals. The workshop session features teaching ideas and techniques and includes six months of lesson materials, visual aids, handout masters with license to reproduce, learning activities, object lessons, and games. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch provided.   Back On Track Facilitator Certification & Licensure Facilitators learn how to organize, advertise and facilitate a six-week Back On Track Program for their WLS patients who are struggling with an extended plateau or who have regained weight. The live course is offered on Day 3 of Support Group Leader Training in most locations. $100 Discount for BSCI Certified Support Group Leaders.   Introduction to Coaching Skills (Telephonic) 30 CEU’s Available - This 14-week telephonic course is designed to provide bariatric professionals and the bariatric support community an experience with the skills necessary to “coach” bariatric patients throughout their weight-loss journey and beyond. This course is designed to enhance the effectiveness of those working within the bariatric community either in a group setting or with individuals. The Instructors are two outstanding WLS Patient-Professionals from Bariatric University, Co Founders Sue Lassetter, MA, CHT, Certified Life Coach and Dana Schroeder, RN, BSN, PHN, ACC Certified Life Coach. Telephonic sessions are scheduled regularly. $100 discount for BSCI Certified Support Group Leaders.   Personal Discovery Coaching Group BSCI and Bariatric University are delighted to offer personal coaching in a Discovery Group format. The purpose of this 12 week class is to offer topics and materials designed to help each participant discover and create the life they have always wanted. A set of Discovery Topics will be presented for consideration; information about each Discovery Topic will be explored through coaching, class discussions, exercises, readings, projects, and personal reflections. Each Discovery Group participant shall set their own personal agenda, action plan(s) and/or accountability structure(s) in accordance with the Discovery Topic. Each participant shall be coached to discover and name what they want from the coaching experience while exploring options. The group meetings are facilitated in a telephonic format by Bariatric University Co-founders Sue Lassetter M.A., CHT, Life Coach and Dana Schroeder, RN, BSRN, PHN, Life Coach. Both women are Life Coaches and skilled Coaching Instructors, Support Group Leaders, Final Success and Back-on-Track facilitators and Bariatric Patients. Among the topics to be addressed in Personal Discovery Coaching are: personal visioning and focus, values, beliefs, relationships, somatic responses, personal wellness and life purpose. Group size shall be limited for maximum coaching opportunities and topic consideration.
