My Life

A week before surgery

It felt like one day I was normal sized and the next I was supersized and nothing I did changed the way I looked and felt. To stop the pain of being unsuccessful I ate more, moved less and ended up at my full weight of 297 lbs. Then I got scared and decided to have surgery. The road to the weight loss took a year before I was given the approval and actually had the surgery Jan 2 2005. I am 18 months post surgery, for the first time in a year I ate a sandwich. Not sure this is a good thing because I am still afriad I will wake up fat one day again. I follow the tips for sucessful losers and that gives me hope. I still journal when I need to and when I am 5 lbs over my goal weight I write everything down that I eat. I exercise 5 times a week. This is not an easy fix but it gave me a life I love.
